Spring 2017 Music, Worship, & Technology Opportunities at Southeastern

Are you looking for ways to worship through music and build your skills for worship ministry? Consider these opportunities in Spring 2017!

1. Contemporary Music Worship Teams: Participate in a student-led worship band in designing worship sets, rehearsing, and working with technology, all under the capable coaching of our music and worship staff. These teams meet on Wednesday mornings beginning at 8:30am or 9:30am. Contemporary Music can be taken for a FREE elective credit by registering for the “NON” section of the course.

2. The Kingdom Choir: Join us Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-10:20am in the Appleby Bethea Room. The Kingdom Choir gives students the opportunity to sing and lead each other in worship. Also, we’ll work with diverse worship leaders both on and off campus at special events. This class can be taken for a FREE elective credit by registering for MUS1581ANON (college) or MUS5581ANON (seminary).

3. Musical Skills Classes: To lead musical worship effectively, certain skills are necessary. Consider taking piano class on Tuesdays or a guitar class on Fridays. These classes are open to all Southeastern students.

4. Technology for Ministry: Need help coordinating volunteers for church events or building a church website? Want experience with the latest software for planning and implementing worship services? Sign up for MIN3575/PMN6575 Technology for Ministry (Fridays, 8:30am-11:20am), a study of technologies available to churches for various ministry purposes.
