Share Your Musical Gifts & Worship as You GO

Are you looking for opportunities to share your musical gifts as you get to know the Southeastern community? Did you know that you could build your skills for worship ministry during your time here?

Consider these opportunities for Fall 2017:

1.Contemporary Music worship teams: Participate in a student-led worship band in designing worship sets, rehearsing, and working with technology, all under the capable coaching of our music and worship staff. These teams meet on Wednesday mornings beginning at 8:30am or 9:30am. Contemporary Music can be taken for a FREE elective credit by registering for the following sections:

 2.The Kingdom Choir: Join us Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-­10:20am in the Appleby Bethea Room. The Kingdom Choir gives students the opportunity to sing and lead each other in worship. Also, we’ll work with diverse worship leaders both on and off campus as we serve at special events. This class can be taken for a FREE elective credit by registering for MUS1581ANON (college) and MUS5581ANON (seminary).

3.Voice Class: Do you need more confidence using your singing voice? Do you want to learn how to take care of your voice for a lifetime of ministry? Sign up for MUS1530A (college) and MUS5530A (seminary), meeting from 9:30-11:20am on Mondays. No previous training necessary.

 4.Piano and Guitar Classes: Have you always wanted to learn to play an instrument that you could use in ministry? Consider taking piano class on Tuesdays or a guitar class on Fridays. These classes are open to all Southeastern students.

 5.Musical Styles in Western Music: Do you enjoy listening to diverse musical styles? Do you need help discerning what music will edify your congregation and encourage congregational worship? Sign up for MUS3500A (college) or MUS6500A (seminary), meeting from 12:00-1:20pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. This class will involve lots of listening and discussions on diverse musical styles including classical, folk, and popular genres currently in use. Come join the conversation!
