Heart of the Artist Community Art Festival

What makes a day of visual and performing arts a day to remember? It’s when that day can help feed the hungry too! The 2nd Annual Heart of the Artist Community Art Festival has adopted the theme “Art on a Mission” for this year’s event.

Sponsors and artists will work together with attendees to make a dent in hunger relief within our community. Any non-perishable food donated with entrance to the festival, together with the proceeds from an art raffle, 25% of profits from the special “Art on a Mission” booth, and any other offerings for hunger relief, will be split between the Tri-Area Ministry and the Interfaith Food Shuttle. Music, art demonstrations, a special youth art exhibit and activities for children will be presented throughout the day, as well as regularly scheduled and hosted tours of Wake Forest Baptist Church’s historic church building.

The Virginia Tull Music and Arts Series of Wake Forest Baptist Church and the Wake Forest Area Artists are sponsoring the April 28th event, which will be held from 10 am until 5 pm on the historic grounds of Wake Forest Baptist Church and the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary at the corner of E. Main and E. South Street, Wake Forest.

Come, enjoy the day and help feed the hungry in our community!
