2016 Spiritual Resilience Conference

Why have a Spiritual Resilience Conference?

Resilience. It is a word that is used often in the military context. You hear references such as “we bend but do not break.” That sounds very noble but many in the military community (current and veteran) are struggling. In addition to  demands of duty, our active/guard/reserve forces are experiencing multiple deployments, sexual assault, suicide, and broken marriages. Many of our veterans are not receiving the care that they need from our V.A. system, are homeless, are abusing substances, and are dealing with the effects of post traumatic stress disorder.

You may be asking yourself, “What can we do?” Last year I was approached by my friend and colleague, about organizing a conference. We both share a passion for military ministry, and God laid on our hearts to organize the 2016 Spiritual Resilience Conference at Braggtown Baptist Church  in Durham, North Carolina. The Lord keeps adding more great speakers to this important event and we are confident that each speaker will be a blessing to all who attend.

This is a family conference. We encourage you to bring all your family members and although this conference is military-focused, everyone is welcome. In order for parents to experience the amazing speaking agenda, we will have Christ-centered activities for children. You can find event details and the updated speaker list on the spiritual resilience page of our website. Registration is open so please sign up today. We look forward to seeing you on October 28-29!
