Pro-Life Week | January 24 – 26

Southeastern’s first ever Pro-Life week will be held from Tuesday, January 24 until Thursday, January 26. The week’s events will focus on the effects of the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision that was made over 40 years ago, and aim to educate, equip, and mobilize students to become more involved with the issue of life in the womb and the sanctity of human life.

On Tuesday, January 24, there will be a special pro-life panel discussion taking place in chapel. This panel will be moderated by Dr. Bruce Ashford and will include Trillia Newbell, Director of Community Outreach at the ERLC; Amber Lehman, Sr. Director of Development at the Human Coalition in Raleigh; and Dr. Steven Wade, Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at SEBTS.

On Wednesday, January 25 from 10:30am-12pm, Amber Lehman of the Human Coalition in Raleigh will be back on campus for a time of educating and training students, talking about the Human Coalition, and leading in a time of prayer. This event will take place in Eitel Auditorium in Jacumin-Simpson.

On Thursday, January 26, Garrett Kell, Pastor of Del Ray Baptist Church in Virginia, will be speaking in chapel to close out our pro-life week. Pastor Kell will deliver a message titled: The Ultimate Unplanned Pregnancy.
