Fitness Classes at SEBTS

Have you ever felt tired or lethargic when doing things throughout the day?Do you find yourself struggling to be productive in a class or at work? If so, you might be out of shape and inneed of exercise!

Numerous studies show that people who work out and exercise are better workers, more productive, perform better, and are happier. Because of those reasons, Intramurals at SEBTS is offering fitness classes for you to join. Therefore, if you feel a desire to change your regular routine as well as gain more energy throughout the semester, you will not want to miss out on these fitness and exercise opportunities.

The first fitness class we are offering is step aerobics. This is an all-women’s class that meets on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM. Those who participate will engage in different exercises that include stepping on and off a platform. The class is led by Molly Lydick and meets in the fitness room of the Ledford Center.

The second fitness class is strength and cardio, which will be for both men and women. This fitness opportunity is a training class that utilizes the whole body for optimal growth and health, which will increase one’s mobility, strength, endurance, and core stability. This class, led by Felix Berry, meets on Thursday evenings at 8:30 PM in the fitness room.

These courses are free and open to anyone associated with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (i.e. Students, Faculty, Staff, and Dependents). There is no need to sign up. All you need to do is show up at the allotted times, and the class instructors will take care of the rest. If you have any questions, please email Cody Evans at cevans@sebts.edu.
