“Talent Pool” database available at Southeastern

Do you have a skill you would like to market while you are here at school? Perhaps you would like to prepare tax returns for people in the area for a fee; or you might be a skilled carpenter or painter who could take on some jobs to help pay your way through school; you might wish to be put on a list to be called by folks who need some yard work or miscellaneous odd jobs performed on a short-term basis; maybe you could tutor during the afternoons, or baby-sit, or do some sewing. If you have a talent for sale, the Office of Student Employment Services can help.
All you have to do is complete a form which is available in Student Employment Services in the Ledford Center. Your talent information will then be entered into a database. Whenever an inquiry comes from someone on-campus or in town requesting the type of service for which you have a talent, Student Employment Services will provide your name and contact information. Then, the interested party will call you! It’s as simple as that.
Student Employment Services does not charge a thing for this student service. And, your spouse and children may list their talents as well. You may notify Student Employment Services any time you want to be inactivated or deleted from the Talent Pool. Student Employment Services will also update all the listings in the Talent Pool a couple of times a year, asking you to let them know if you want to continue to be listed in the database.
Now, Can We Help You? 🙂
