Steeple Chase 5K is on for Saturday, October 15, 2011 on the campus of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. This inaugural event, which is part of the continuing effort to encourage healthy habits for life and benefits a national charity, is open to all Southeastern affiliates and the surrounding community who are 18 and older. Early registration is $25 through October 1.
Participants will run/jog/walk the 3.2 mile route that has been mapped out through Wake Forest, beginning and ending on SEBTS campus. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. There will also be fun for the whole family at the finish line, including relays for kids, a bounce house and face painting.
This year, all sponsorship proceeds will go to support Haitian orphans through Haiti Love and the efforts of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) to advance diabetes care, prevention and a cure worldwide.
