Backup Power Testing on Friday, April 26

At 4 pm on Friday, April 26th, SEBTS will be testing our backup generator that provides power to the main part of campus in the case of power loss. This is a maintenance test and will require us to cycle the power to campus 5 to 6 times in order to test the performance of the generator. This means you will see a power loss to campus for a period of 30 seconds to 1 minute while each of these cycles happen.

If you live in Goldston, Bostwick, or Lolley, we encourage you to turn off any computers that do not run on battery power so that they are properly shutdown before the generator testing.

There is a potential that CampusNet (Moodle), will be unavailable during this period. Therefore, please do not attempt to submit any assignments or complete quizzes or tests during the 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm range on Friday.

Thank you in advance for your patience while we do this maintenance testing to ensure the best performance of our backup generator for situations where a longer term power loss might occur.
