Meet in the Street

The Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Annual Meet in the Street Event on May 3rd. Over 100 artisans’ booths featuring handcrafted arts and crafts and downtown merchants will be set up. The Chamber is in need of volunteers willing to serve for two hours during the event. Contact Sherry Forbes for more information.

Student Life: Study Break

Finals are just around the corner, and that means life as a student becomes consumed with books, papers, study dates, and maybe even some sleepless nights. Come re-fuel with free coffee, pancakes and other breakfast items at the Study Break event on Thursday, May 8, from 9-11pm in the Ledford Center.

Authenticity: An Honest Look into the Life of a Pastor

The Spurgeon Center invites students and local pastors to join us for a free pancake breakfast as we kick off a series designed to encourage and equip local church leaders. The series is entitled: Authenticity: An Honest Look into the Life of a Pastor. In this first event, Dr. Lawless and Dr. Ewart will lead a discussion and share real experiences from their combined decades of local church leadership.

National Day of Prayer

The 2014 National Day of Prayer event is Thursday, May 1st at the Wake Forest Town Hall Plaza from 11:30am -1:00pm. Join local pastors in prayer for our nation’s leaders as well as enjoy music provided by the Faith Baptist Church Worship Team.
