Graduation Applications Due September 1

If you plan on graduating this Fall, please submit your graduation application by September 1, 2010. You can find and submit your graduation application online. Late applications will be accepted until Sept 30, but those will incur a  $75 late graduation application fee (in addition to the $60 diploma fee).

Women’s Prayer Evangelism Conference

The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina is in need of volunteers for this years’ Women’s Prayer Evangelism Conference to be held September 10-12 at the Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain. Volunteers would need to arrive by 5 pm on Thursday, September 9 and be available to stay until around lunchtime on Sunday. Lodging

New scholarship for the Children of Fallen Service Members

WASHINGTON – The children of military personnel who died in the line of duty since Sept. 11, 2001 can apply for an educational scholarship similar to the new Post-9/11 GI Bill. Benefits are retroactive to Aug. 1, 2009. The scholarship, which is administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs, are named after Marine Gunnery Sergeant

Volunteers Needed

The Heritage of Raleigh is in need of some volunteers to help with activities for the residents. If anyone is interested, Heritage of Raleigh feels that it would be a valuable experience for the student and for the residents. Students can play games, read, attend current event groups, assist with prayer groups, walk to shopping

Important Accounting Services Deadline

Course registration and full payment is due August 5, 2010. This is also the last day for returning students to sign up for the FACTS Monthly Payment plan. As a reminder, you should regularly visit the Accounting Services’ payments and deadlines page on CampusNet to stay aware of upcoming deadlines and payment policies.
